"During that season, I became family"

Okay so I almost didn't run cross country because I had quit soccer the year before and I wasn't really all that good at running/I wasn't into it. My best friend (who was the captain of the team) convinced me to ran the next season. The first day of practice my coach (who is now one of the biggest people I look up to) told me that I looked like a deer in headlights. During that season, I became family, and if you run cross country, you already know, with the entire team and I know we'll all be friends for life. Throughout that season, I worked hard enough and was inspired enough to become the 2nd best runner on the team. This sport has gotten me through some really bad lows and I would recommend it to absolutely anyone!
