"I had to quit baseball, which was the hardest thing to do"

I almost didn't run cross country , when I was in 5th & 6th grade I played football and I was the smallest one out there always getting bruised & beat up . Come to find out it wasn't my thing . So I quit that, however I had been playing baseball my whole life . That's all I wanted to do, then I tried cross country in 7th grade for an offseason sport . #1 time in the grade & number 2 through the 7th and 8th grade . But I didn't run 8th grade because I thought it was too rough & hated the shorts ( I know, dumb reason ). But I then played baseball my freshman year. Going into the summer after my freshman year my friend walks up to me & tells me to run cross country again so yeah I went for it . Worked hard all summer while playing summer baseball . Came out the first race of the season and ran a 17:36 which was the second best on the team . The rest of my season was killed because of a stress fracture. But now I'm healthy and competing in track . Since I run track that means I had to quit baseball which was the hardest thing to do. Now I'm a dedicated runner.
