"I wanted to quit so bad, but my parents wouldn't let me"

I would like to tell you my story about the time I almost didn't run XC, um well my sophomore year was my very first time ever doing XC and I really didn't understand it. Because I've done Football Cheer since my 7th grade year and then I decided to go out for it my sophomore year. I didn't know I was capable to run for varsity after our first meet you know, I really enjoyed it and I love the coach I have as well. Then my junior year came and at first I was like okay I got this I can do it, then I was the closest one in the team, and literally I wanted to quit so bad, but my parents wouldn't let me quit, I was tired of being the last one to be done with running, but the other part that was really bugging me is that, I was being judged from some of my teammates and that got me to question myself. But I just kept going and I gotta say I am glad that I didn't quit XC, and now I can't wait till my senior year for XC, which is next year but I'm really excited. If any runners that's in track, or XC or is doing a different sport, I wanna give you this advice, please don't let anyone or your teammates judge you and get to you, and having them make you question about yourself, just keep being you and who cares if you can't do what they can do or you aren't in the same level as them, just do your best and don't quit, just forget about the haters and just believe in yourself and be positive.
