"I've found a new passion for this sport and a great boyfriend"

I almost didn't run cc... I moved to a Texas school my 8th grade year and signed up for the athletics program at my school in avoidance of doing a boring PE class. Little did I know that the athletics program was cc and track training... I hated running. Though I sucked it up and ran that year and I acquired a tolerance to running. Mostly bc my boyfriend, whom I met through this athletics program, was one of the top runners on the team. So I kinda stayed interested in running bc he was into it (middle school relationships lol). Once the school year ended I continued running now and then just for health and my boyfriend went on to join the HS cc team and he LOVED it. He would always talk about how much fun it is. Soon I was liking running more and more and became kinda jealous bc it sounded pretty fun and all but I still wasn't a good runner so I was terrified to join thinking I was going to embarrass myself. I talked myself out of joining the team my freshman and sophomore year (I'm a junior now) which I regret to this day but my boyfriend encouraged me to join so I did...I joined my junior year and it was the best decision ever. I've met amazing friends and I now love running more than ever. It's made me a stronger person mentally and physically. Fast forward to now... Three and a half years later my boyfriend and I both run for our school's cc team and run together in our spare time. I couldn't ask for anything better to come out of joining my schools athletic program bc Ive found a new passion for this sport and a great boyfriend. I owe it all to him bc... I almost didn't run cross country
