Don't run cross country. I mean it. Don't run cross country if you want to sleep in during the summer. Don't run cross country if you want to stay up late hanging out with friends. Don't run cross country if you don't want to constantly be sore. Don't run cross country if you want to be able to eat whatever you want. Don't run cross country if you want to be able to stay to watch football games on Friday nights without having to worry about a meet the next morning. Don't run cross country if you don't want to wake up earlier on Saturday's than on any other day of the week. Don't run cross country if you want to be appreciated by your school. Don't run cross country if you want a student section at your meets. Don't run cross country if you don't want to make lifelong friends. Don't run cross country if you don't have grit. Don't run cross country if you don't want to feel absolutely amazing and powerful. Seriously, don't run cross country. We want this incredible sport all to ourselves.
