"It will always be worth it in the end"

Seeing the stories made me want to share mine. Freshman year I was considering playing soccer with one of my friends but he backed out and one of my other friends told me to run xc with him. I wasn't sure about it a first but I gave it a shot. First day out we had to run 4 miles and I didn't even make it halfway before walking. I absolutely hated it and wanted to quit but my mom told me don't ever quit anything. I ended up making varsity that year and grew to love the sport. I never expected it being a baseball player my whole life but I ended up being the best my schools ever had and every race when I wanted to quit I would hear in my mind my mom saying don't ever quit. Through running I've made some of my closest friends and I'm so glad I stuck with it because now running has became my life. It's taught me that no matter how hard something is it will always be worth it in the end.
