"When I was a freshman, I was short and about 170 pounds"

When i was a freshman, i was short and about 170 lbs. One night at meet the coaches night, i found the cross country table with a coach who seemed like he knew what he was doing. I figured i'd do it just for conditioning for baseball. The first summer workout, he had us do a mile warmup, i couldn't finish it. But soon, i met juniors who were happy to help me get better and freshman who were at my level too. I was hooked. I kept running that season and dropped my 5K time from a 35 to a 26, its my sophomore year and I'm aiming for 21 minutes. My coach gave me this goal, and the reason I'm following it is because i know he wouldn't make me a goal he knows I couldn't achieve. I couldn't have gotten to where i am today without him or any of my teammates, my second family.
