"This team has grown into my second family"

I started running my freshman year of high school, but practices started the summer before school started. I didn't really know a lot about it. I found out about the first practice after seeing a photo about it on Instagram. I decided to go for it even though I had missed tryouts. I was really scared to go to practice, I didn't know anyone on the team, I didn't even know the coaches, and I was very shy at the time. I showed up & was surprised to see everyone was really welcoming. since then this team has grown into my 2nd family. this was one of the biggest risk I took in high school & it turned out to be the best idea I've had.
